The Best Moment for Pakistani Team

In my previous article, I have shown concerns about the future of cricket in Pakistan after the incidence of firing on Sri Lanka team while touring Pakistan. However, the Pakistan Cricket Team has shown rays of hope after winning the the T20 World Cricket Championship 2009, organized by ICC in England. South Africa, West Indies, England and Sri Lanka were being tipped as the winners of 2009 T20 cup but nobody made a forecast in favor of Pakistan team who had come to participate in the competition with injured soul due to unfortunate incidences in the past.
All the appreciations must go to Pakistan Cricket Team for winning T20 World Championship in 2009. Neither in first T20 World Championship nor in 2nd T20 World Championship -2009, experts dared to predict a win for Pakistan Cricket team. In first championship Pakistan missed it narrowly but winning the 2009 T20 World Championship was a well determined effort from the team. I found two factors responsible for this win that motivated Pakistan team to become World Champions. A guilt of irresponsibility caused due to firing on Sri Lankan team by the militants (though responsibility for the security of Sri Lankan team rested with administration and police) and far-fetched consequences of this attack motivated players to win the trophy. A win like this shall communicate message to all cricket playing nations that cricket is not responsible for such incidences but it's the handiwork of miscreants who want to harm the interests of the Pakistan and wish to isolate this country from the rest of the World. The other important factor for this win of Pakistan is the able captaincy of younish Khan. It appears that he has already given message to other players that he'll not make a claim to captaincy of Pakistan T20 team after 2009 World Cup that will pave way for other players. Same captain of a winning team may win 2-3 World titles but fails to keep team united for a long time as ambitions of other players become difficult to fulfill. Both Yunish khan and Shahid Afridi rightly dedicated their win to people of Pakistan who may find little solace in this win.
In the media briefing after winning T20 Championship, Pakistan Captain requested cricketers of World to come to pakistan and play cricket in Pakistan. He told the World clearly that there was no fault of Pakistani players in the incidence that took place during Pakistan-SriLanka series. It was just a security lapse. He also put forward the cause of young cricketers in Pakistan those will not get a chance to see International cricketers playing cricket in Pakistan. They'll also lose opportunity to play for Pakistan if no cricket is played in Pakistan. The points raised by Pakistan Captain were convincing but it has to be seen what effects it leaves in the future on Pakistan's cricket. The most important question is of safety. Shall the cricketers of other countries risk their lives for the sake of interests of Pakisitan's cricket players? The cricketers of Pakistan has done their part of work honestly. Now its turn of Pakistan government to take care of safety concerns of players of other countries who are ready to risk their life.
Best thing to do under the present circumstances will be arranging tours of Pakistan's Cricket team to other countries (preferably to Asian Countries). Indian government should also reconsider its decisions and allow Pakistani cricket team to tour India. Its neither in favor of Cricket nor in interests of both countries to stop organizing cricket competition between two countries.
Hearty Congratulations to Pakistani Cricket Team.
